To arrange a Catholic marriage in our Diocese, you should contact your parish priest at least six months before your intended wedding date. You will need to complete a Pre-Marriage Enquiry Form, attend a Pre-Cana (Marriage Preparation) course, and provide the required documents including baptismal certificates and confirmation certificates. If either party was previously married or has other special circumstances, additional steps may apply. Please use the contact form above or speak directly to your parish priest.

Baptismal and Confirmation certificates are held by the parish where the sacrament was administered. Contact the parish priest or parish secretary/catechist of that church directly, with details of the date of the sacrament and your full name at the time. If you are unsure which parish it was, you can also contact the Diocesan Chancery for assistance in locating the correct parish records.

Catholic parish boundaries are usually defined by geographic area. You are generally considered to belong to the territorial parish that covers the area where you live. However, you are also free to attend Mass and become an active member of any parish you choose.
